Prerequisites
To become a Read to Grow ambassador, you’ll need dedication, organization, and a passion for literacy.
Below are the key requirements to ensure a successful book collection drive.
Having an active network is essential
You should be well-connected within your community, whether through schools, businesses, social groups, or online platforms. Engaging people to donate books and spread the word will make your collection drive a success.
Twice a Year Commitment
Ambassadors commit to organizing a book collection drive twice a year.
This ensures a steady flow of books to those in need.
Each collection period will require some planning, promotion, and coordination, but the impact is immeasurable.
2-4 Weeks Storage Location
Keep them safe for us!
During each collection drive, you’ll need a temporary storage space for the donated books. This could be a store, community center, school, or another accessible location where people can drop off their books. The storage should be available for 2-4 weeks during each drive.
At Least 500 Books
Each collection drive should gather a minimum of 500 books.
This ensures that our efforts make a real impact.
Encouraging friends, family, and local organizations to donate will help you reach this goal.
